Boko Haram Claims Slaughter Of 7 Persons in Maiduguri For Betraying Sect

Date:

Islamist militant sect Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for the slaughtering of seven persons in the Kawar Maila area of Maiduguri.

The sect in a release said they have earmarked 30 persons to be killed, and that they have killed seven remaining 27 who they are accusing of revealing identities of their 11 members killed by JTF last week according to a report in the Daily Trust an Abuja-based newspaper.

“We have earmarked 30 of them for execution because they betrayed our group. They exposed our 11 members who were summarily shot dead by the Joint Task Force on Saturday.

Our spiritual leader, Malam Yusuf Mohammed, was arrested and detained severally and was even killed by the Nigerian security forces; we are not deterred from propagating Islam. The arrest or killing of any member of our sect will not stop us from doing what we are doing.

That is why we visited and killed the seven people that were seen on Thursday at the Kawar Maila area of Maiduguri; they were part of the 30 persons that we gathered who leaked the identity of our 11 members to the security operatives who killed them last Saturday. So, we have succeeded in killing seven and we are sure of killing the remaining 23 any moment from now.
