South Africa’s Ramaphosa reaches out to Mozambique
17.03.2018 - Pretoria / South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected in the Mozambican capital Maputo on Saturday for a one-day official state visit, in an attempt to redefine relations with its neighbour.
”The visit aims to strengthen and deepen the historical ties of solidarity, friendship and political, economic, social and cultural cooperation between the two countries, as well as assess the stage of bilateral cooperation” a statement from the Mozambican presidency to APA on Friday said.This is the first visit by Ramaphosa to Mozambique since he came to power in February.
President Ramaphosa, who is also the current chairman of the Southern African Development Community, SADC will also visit Zimbabwe on the same day.
