Mauritius and Burkina Faso to embark in reinforcing bilateral relations.
22.08.2017-Port Louis/ Mauritius and Burkina Faso will embark towards steering the existing bilateral and multilateral relations in view of boosting and giving a fresh impetus to the economic cooperation between the two countries.
This was at the fore of discussions on 18 August 2017 during a courtesy call by the newly appointed Ambassador of Burkina Faso in Mauritius based in Pretoria, Mrs Salamata Sawadogo/Tapsoba, on the Prime Minister, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, at the New Treasury Building in Port Louis.
In a statement, Mrs Salamata Sawadogo/Tapsoba expressed her willingness to carry forward the agreed determination of collaboration discussed with Prime Minister Jugnauth to give a new dimension to the economic relations for the mutual benefits of both countries.
The Ambassador also conveyed her sincere gratitude on behalf of the President and Prime Minister of Burkina Faso to Prime Minister Jugnauth for his support to Burkina Faso who has been recently hit by terror attacks. Moreover, she underlined that Prime Minister Jugnauth also expressed recognition towards Burkina Faso for having supported Mauritius on the Chagos Archipelago issue.
